When to Water

According to WalterReeves.com,  the best time to water a lawn is in the morning, preferably before noon. This allows the grass to dry before nightfall, reducing the risk of disease. Walter Reeves' site is full of great resources for gardening in Georgia.  Learn More Here
For a more precise idea of the conditions on Skidaway Island, do what our golf course superintendents do. Go to GeorgiaWeather.net  Look at “Yesterday’s Conditions” and if there has been little evapotranspiration over the past few days, you can keep your irrigation system in the OFF position.
